Kingdom Hearts III Retail Copies Leaked Ahead Of Release

Kingdom Hearts III Retail Copies Leaked Ahead Of Release

With Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts III officially launching next month, 2019 represents the end of a 13 year long wait for the sequel to Kingdom Hearts II. Unfortunately, it appears that some fans couldn’t wait the final month, as full copies of Kingdom Hearts III have reportedly been leaked.

Originally scheduled for release on January 25th, the last game in the Kingdom Hearts trilogy has suffered a surprising leak that may turn fans away from social media for the next month or so to avoid spoilers. While simple word of the leak isn’t necessarily enough to be believed on its own, video clips of the game that contain spoilers have already begun to appear online.

The news comes by way of Twitter user Nibel and Twitter account AllGamesDelta, with the former confirming that retail copies of Kingdom Hearts III have indeed been leaked. Nibel states that some screenshots and videos are already viewable online, and warns followers to be careful on both social media and YouTube. AllGamesDelta revealed the likely source of the leaks, stating that someone that “has access to the SE distribution chain” pocketed 30+ copies of the game and is now selling them for $100. Both Twitter posts can be seen below:

This obviously doesn’t bode well for the fans waiting patiently for the official Kingdom Hearts III release date next month. As they say, the internet is dark and full of spoilers, and the leak will certainly make for a long, agonizing final month before Kingdom Hearts III officially releases on January 25th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

So, thoughts on the leak? Plan on hunting around for spoilers, or would you prefer to see the events of the game using your own copy?
