WATCH: Gorgeous Indie Game Fe Debuts Otherworldly Gameplay

Game Fe Debuts Otherworldly Gameplay

Developer Zoink Games recently announced the afterlife title Flipping Death alongside many others at PlayStation Experience 2017, but eyes seem currently locked on their other upcoming game Fe. We’ve previously peeked the artistic title back at Gamescom, introducing an all-new trailer as well as the upcoming release window of 2018. Zoink has since debuted an extended look at Fe‘s dreamy aesthetics and otherworldly gameplay at the Sony-themed event.

Filled to the brim with mystical Nordic imagery, players portray Fe, a small fox-like creature venturing into a mysterious dark forest. With numerous skills at their disposal, the new footage sees our furry friend interact with the local wildlife through song, glide from one cliffside to another, and climb aboard a massive majestic deer. Check it out below.

If this experience sounds akin to Shadow of the Colossus, this game undoubtedly sounds out those vibes, immersing players in gameplay right from the get-go. As the first announced title in the “EA Originals” brand, Fe paves the way for more indie games to come, including the dual-player A Way Out, which featured recently at this year’s Game AwardsFe is set to release for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018.

What do you think? Does the game Fe seem like a worthwhile experience, or does the gameplay seem to favor looks over substance?
