Activision Blizzard announces a brand new expansion coming to Hearthstone! Revealing Scholomance Academy, Hearthstone players are thrust into a magical education to acquire knowledge and discover secrets and “vile things lurking beneath the school grounds.” Check out the cinematic trailer for the upcoming expansion below:

Hearthstone: Scholomance Academy reveals 135 new cards and introduces Dual-Class cards for the first time! In fact, fourty of the one-hundred thirty-five will be Dual-Class. With this expansion, Spellburst is the new keyword, a “one-time only effect when you cast a spell” with a Spellburst weapon or minion in play. Additionally, Studies are new spells that allow players to instantly discover a card and reduce the mana cost of the next card played that shares the same type.

According to Hearthstone, the Scholomance Academy expansion also marks the second phase of the Year of the Phoenix. Between this and the next expansion, the community “can expect several major updates,” which includes a seasonal event, patches, Battlegrounds Heroes and minion, a new game mode, and more.

Hearthstone: Scholomance Academy makes its global launch early in August with two different bundles available for pre-order right here. The Scholomance Academy Pre-Purchase includes fifty card packs and five bonus ones, a random golden legendary, and Kel’Thuzad card back. Meanwhile, the Mega Bundle includes 75 card packs with five bonuses, five bonus golden packs, a random golden legendary, Kel’Thuzad back, Kel’Thuzad mage hero, and Battlegrounds tavern pass too.
