Halo Team Wants Master Chief For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Halo

Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate boasts the largest roster to date, with some characters even coming in from outside the company’s many franchises such as Joker from the Persona series. With Microsoft attempting to bridge the gap between themselves and Nintendo with Xbox Live support, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to imagine some of their characters to crossover as well. What Microsoft icon would be better to join the Smash crew than that of Halo’s Master Chief, John-177?

A post from Twitter Gaming recently received a surprising reply from the official Halo account to the question of “what characters players would like to see come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate”. While the account’s pitch to see  Master Chief come to Smash is by no means an official confirmation that Nintendo and Microsoft have plans to bring the character into the roster, fans can still dream can’t they?

In fact, in response to the concept fans erupted with posts of support. Honestly, it’s fairly unlikely that a crossover of that nature would occur but at the same time Nintendo has included some oddly fitting characters in the past. Seeing Chief wreck some folks would an interesting addition to say the least, especially going up against Solid Snake.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a Nintendo Switch exclusive while the Halo franchise remains a Microsoft exclusive. There are plenty of characters from Microsoft franchises that could potentially make for a good addition to Smash such as Minecraft’s Steve, a Sea of Thieves pirate, Banjo & Kazooie, Cuphead, or even perhaps Sunset Overdrive’s Fizzie.

Are there any characters you’d like to see make it into the game’s roster? Let us know your thoughts on potentially seeing the Master Chief in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and more in the comments section below. As always don’t forget to follow Don’t Feed the Games on Twitter for 24/7 coverage of all things gaming and entertainment.
