Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC Beta Delayed
Earlier this month, 343 Industries announced that the first PC beta testing for Halo: The Master Chief Collection would begin in April. The testing was specifically targeted for Halo Reach, though now it appears that the first of the game’s scheduled “flights” has been delayed.
The news comes by way of 343 Industries’ Brian Jarrard AKA ske7ch, who originally announced this month’s testing plans on his Twitter account. Ske7ch admitted recently in a new tweet that the original didn’t age well, and that the first public flights for the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection are “pushing out further than originally intended.”
Well this tweet didn’t age well. Hey, this project is complex, and being transparent means sometimes things change vs. what we originally hoped. Work continues but the first public flights are pushing out further than originally targeted. Will share more info soon! https://t.co/aSCB37ZxD2

In a separate bit of news, those looking forward to the upcoming April development blog needn’t wait long. A Twitter user asked Ske7ch what the wait time would be on it, to which he responded saying that it will be posted on the afternoon of the 30th (today) at the latest.
we do have an April development blog just about ready to go – should be posted by tomorrow afternoon at the latest (just living up to its namesake).

Keep in mind that, given the lateness of the ‘April’ development blog, fans may not want to expect too much from it, especially since Ske7ch admitted that its release was mostly just to live up to its namesake. Either way, we likely won’t have to wait too much longer for more concrete news on when the first PC testing will actually happen.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now in development for PC and Xbox One.
