GOG Konami Code Easter Egg Lets You Play Pong And Snake
Up for playing some classic games? GOG apparently has you covered, but only if you know the ‘secret code’ to access them. Players can hop onto the GOG website here and enter in the famous Konami code: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, and it will take you to a cool little game room adorned with various The Witcher memorabilia and other nifty Easter eggs.

From there, you can choose from two classic games: Pong, or Snake, at which point the little cartridge will be put into the console and you can play either game as long as you like. Snake plays the way it normally does, and you will have three lives with which to prove that you are the best hungry snake in the business. Moving on, Pong also plays the way classic, good ol’ Pong plays, and the first to five wins. That said, it is important to note that the AI for Pong will mercilessly crush both you and your dreams. You have been warned.
This certainly isn’t the first playable game Easter egg on the internet, nor will it be the last. One interesting Easter egg game to note is only available on Google Chrome. Should the browser detect that there is no internet connection available, it will take you to a page saying such a thing, at which point you need only press the up arrow on your keyboard to begin piloting a dinosaur in a cute little side-scroller, ducking and jumping past birds and cacti until the internet connection is restored. It’s low-tech, but it’s fun.
