German Nintendo Switch Ad Shows Console’s Portable Mode on a Commode (VIDEO)

German Nintendo Switch Ad

We received quite the dump of information from Nintendo pertaining to their newest console earlier this month. It was at the Nintendo Switch event that we learned the price, release date, launch titles, and more for the new console. As such, the information about the console continues to trickle in, along with new promotional material being sprinkled throughout the land. Ever since Nintendo first made it known that the Switch would be a home console that can be taken on the go, most gamers naturally fantasized about using the console while they go. Now, it appears the Big N acknowledges this desired use for the console in the latest German Nintendo Switch Ad. Check it out:

The video above, which chose to show the console’s portability with a player using the Switch on his private porcelain throne at home, trousers swaddled amidst his ankles, comes straight from the Nintendo Switch DE Facebook page. However, the commercial’s exciting action quickly goes down the drain as the Switch is shown being used in less exciting locations, such as a home living room and a university lecture hall.

It should be noted that this commercial is intended for German audiences, for whom certain sensibilities are different from us here in the States. Don’t expect to see Nintendo of America’s #1, Reggie Fils-Aime, demoing the Switch whilst calling out to nature. It is still interesting to see Nintendo reference the place where many gamers have enjoyed their portable consoles before. Let’s just hope when the Switch arrives, it leaves us all flushed with joy.

What do you guys think? Did you enjoy seeing the Switch in action on this German Nintendo Switch Ad? Where would you like to see the Switch played in future commercials? Let us know in the comments below! Be sure to stay tuned for the latest Switch news, such as voice chat being available for the console via a mobile app, here on Don’t Feed the Gamers!
