We’ve seen gamers come together to bring joy to children in hospitals and even to help veterans cope with civilian life. Now, Stand Up to Cancer, a renowned charity organization seeking a cure for the disease, is looking to gamers for help in their cause. To do so, they have now brought in none other than The Witcher’s Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle to encourage gamers to join in the fight.

Stand Up To Cancer UK recently uploaded a video promoting their new gaming-centered campaign to their official YouTube channel. The video shows clips from various popular games, notably ones by the biggest campaign supporters EA, Activision and Sega. Narrating over these clips is Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle, inciting players to enter Stand Up To Cancer’s campaign to pwn cancer. As Cockle says:

I am so pleased to be involved in Stand Up To Cancer’s 2018 campaign, bringing together the gaming community to help take on cancer and ban it from the game of life.”

Gamers interested in doing their part to combat cancer can visit the Game On website, where various challenges can be accepted. These range from live-streaming gameplay or hosting a FIFA to raise funds. It’s good to see a powerful charity like Stand Up to Cancer trust Gamers with such an important mission, and with Geralt of Rivia delivering the call, how could anyone refuse?
