Genshin Impact Version 2.3 Trailer Beckons Players Back To Dragonspine (VIDEO)

Genshin Impact Version 2.2 has nearly run its course, with the breezy lightning-charged Inazuman air giving way to the biting cold of Mondstadt’s Dragonspine. To prepare players for the change in scenery, Genshin Impact developer miHoYo has released the official trailer for Version 2.3, featuring a look at the latest upcoming characters and a sneak peek at some intriguing story beats among the peaks of Dragonspine.

Genshin Impact developer miHoYo has released the trailer for the upcoming Version 2.3 update. Releasing later this month, Version 2.3 brings with it the new playable characters Gorou (4-star rarity) and Itto (5-star rarity). There’ll still be a bit of a wait for Gorou and Itto, though, as two character event wish banners will be released early on in Version 2.3 for both Albedo and Eula. It may seem strange that Eula already has her rerun as other older characters have yet to get a second chance in the spotlight, though the choice of Albedo and Eula makes sense given the story to be found within Version 2.3. Check out the official trailer below:

It looks like there’ll be plenty to do in Genshin Impact Version 2.3. Dragonspine will host a suite of special training challenges that should test even the stoutest of Travelers, with the rewards for completing said challenges including snowman components with which to create your own snowmen. These can be exchanged with friends and set up within one’s Serenitea Pot.

On the subject of the Serenitea Pot, a new gadget called the Omni-Ubiquity Net drops in Version 2.3, and can be obtained by taking part in the new Canine Bunshin-related quests. This device will allow players to absorb the essence of certain small creatures and deposit replicas within the Serenitea Pot. Paimon will also be able to be invited to the domain as a guest.

Rounding out the content arriving in Version 2.3 is the new Golden Wolflord boss, which resides on Tsurumi Island. As with the other spooky canine-like enemies introduced in Version 2.2, the Golden Wolflord also applies the Corrosion status, so players will want to bring some sustain to combat the ongoing HP loss.

Genshin Impact Version 2.3 is slated to release on November 24, 2021.
