Even though Genshin Impact developer miHoYo may have upset the majority of its player base with its lackluster 1-year anniversary goodies and near-absent communication in the weeks that followed, the show, as always, must go on. Next up on the studio’s docket of celebrations for the recently reached milestone is a special live-action Genshin Impact concert featuring a slew of talented musicians and performers.

Game developer miHoYo took to YouTube to unveil the official Genshin Impact 2021 concert. Titled Melodies of an Endless Journey, the almost two hour-long concert covers music from the game’s Mondstadt and Liyue regions whilst also intermingling a few songs from various battle clips and boss fights. The entire thing is worth the watch if you’ve the time.

Some of the more enjoyable moments from the concert come from the various character themes covered by the musicians. judging from the comments the fan favorites tend to be the themes for Xiao and Zhongli, though the author also has a soft spot for Ganyu and her theme. The musicians seem to be enjoying themselves for the most part, too, especially the folks playing the Gallant Challenge song. Can’t blame ’em, really.

All in all the Genshin Impact 2021 concert is tremendously enjoyable to watch and listen to. It likely won’t completely erases the animosity built up due to the anniversary reward backlash, but, it’ll certainly help.
