New Genshin Impact Leak Reveals The Game's First Anemo Character

While Genshin Impact fans are divided on whether or not to be excited for one of the game’s upcoming characters due to their family’s questionable backstory, one question has bound the community together since the popular gacha game released last year: Where the heck are all the playable Dendro characters? Unfortunately that question isn’t about to be answered, though in the meantime at least we can look forward to a newly revealed character from the upcoming Inazuma region.

As reported by Comicbook, a new Genshin Impact leak has surfaced revealing the new playable character Kiryu Kazuha. Kazuha is an Anemo element sword user who “supports the team combining Anemo with other elements and dealing AoE damage by gathering enemies together,” according to the leak. Here’s the relevant tweet:

As for when we can expect Kazuha to arrive, that’s currently anyone’s guess. Both Eula and Yanfei are slated to drop at some point during Version 1.5, and given Kazuha’s ties to the as yet unreleased Inazuma region, chances are we won’t be seeing him for another few months. That said, the Inazuma region was recently teased during one of miHoYo’s more recent livestream events, so chances are we’ll hear some official news on Kazuha sooner rather than later.

Genshin Impact is currently available for PC, PS4, and Android & iOS devices. The game will be releasing for PS5 on April 28, 2021.
