Xbox Games With Gold For May 2021 Revealed (VIDEO)

The end of the month brings with it, as usual, another heaping pile of free video games to enjoy courtesy of Microsoft’s Xbox Games With Gold subscription service. While the titles currently on offer will still be available for a few or days – or weeks, if you’re still jonesing for some good old fashioned truck racing – it’s still nice to know what to expect once May 2021 finally graces us with its presence. This time around, the free upcoming titles are none other than Armello, Dungeons 3, Lego Batman, and Tropico 4.

Microsoft took to YouTube today to reveal the latest batch of free games for May 2021 as part of its Xbox Games With Gold subscription service. Armello is described as a “grim fairy tail board game” that blends the tactics of card games and the rich strategy of tabletop games, all with a unique fluffy RPG twist. Dungeons III is a dungeon building RTS that tasks players with defeating the “do-gooders of the overworld.” Lego Batman likely needs no introduction here, while Tropico 4 is in my mind best described as the love child between Sid Meier’s Civilization series and one of the many ‘Tycoon’ business sim games.

Here’s the breakdown of when each title will be available next month:

  • Armello ($19.99 ERP): Available May 1 to 31
  • Dungeons III ($29.99 ERP): Available May 16 to June 15
  • Lego Batman ($19.99 ERP): Available May 1 to 15
  • Tropico 4 ($9.99 ERP): Available May 16 to 31

The first two titles on the list will be available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X, while the latter two games will be available via backward compatibility.
