Fortnite Remote Explosives Announced For Battle Royale Mode
Fortnite received a massive boost in popularity following Epic Games’ implementation of a Battle Royale mode, and as its fan base grows, the developer is constantly looking for ways to keep its players busy with new and exciting content. Now, the most recent addition to the ever-growing Fortnite armament has been revealed: remote explosives. Announced on Twitter, the Fortnite remote explosives are simply designed, and highly effective:

Although adding a simple thing like remote explosives to Fortnite may seem like an arbitrary addition, the implementation of Fortnite remote explosives could create some interesting gameplay scenarios given the explosives’ destructive properties. Without knowing the blast radius or amount of damage the explosives cause, simply setting a remote explosive off near an enemy structure could have some hilarious and interesting ramifications. It will be interesting to see how players utilize the new weapon to take down their opponents and come out on top.
It should be noted that per the above Tweet, the Fortnite remote explosives will only be available for use in the game’s Battle Royale mode. It is also unknown when the new weapon will be usable, as the Tweet simply says that the remote explosives are “coming soon”. In addition to the remote explosives, fans of Fortnite can also look forward to the long-anticipated jetpacks and, arriving sooner rather than later, llamas. Fortnite is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
