Fortnite Leak Reveals Inbound Fan-Favorite Call of Duty Game Mode
Now that the v7.40 patch has made its way to Fortnite, players and dataminers alike have been treated to a bounty of new goodies. That latter group, of course, has been searching through the files of the new update, and it looks like they have found a fan-favorite Call of Duty game mode that is on the way.
Fans of Call of Duty may know a thing or two about Gun Game, the mode in which players begin the match with a pistol and get a new weapon each time they eliminate an opponent. Once a player has killed their way through all 20 weapons, they are declared the winner. That said, the popular mode just might be on its way to Epic Games’ Fortnite.
“Earn eliminations to make your way through all of the weapons to the end!”

As can be seen in the datamined files above, Gun Game is referred to several times. What really gives it away are file names mentioning things like “OnKillGrantWeapon” and “GrantInitialWeapon.”
Of course, as it is with any leak, fans should keep the salt nearby. This is not a guarantee that Gun Game is coming to Fortnite, but it certainly does appear to be. Then again, we’ll just have to wait until Epic Games makes any sort of official announcement.
Fortnite is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, and mobile devices. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
