Fortnite Reveals New ‘Compact SMG’ Arriving Soon
A brand new SMG is coming soon to Epic Games’ popular battle royale title Fortnite. Revealed via the game’s “Coming Soon’ banner, the latest addition to the weapon pool is the ‘Compact SMG,’ which looks an awful lot like the real life P90. The preview picture of the SMG with its description was posted on Reddit, and it can be seen below:
The description reads, “Epic and Legendary rarity SMG that exceles [sic] at close quarters combat,” with the typo eliciting an “Oops” response from Epic Games. There is currently no scheduled release date for the Compact SMG, though typically these previews are for the next incoming update, so players looking forward to the SMG should only have to wait a few more days.
The latest addition to the weapon pool arrives shortly after a different weapon, simply named the Submachine Gun, was added to the game. Though the Compact SMG will likely feature different stats, chances are they’ll at least be similar to that of the Submachine Gun, which can be found below:
Submachine Gun Added
- Available in Common, Uncommon, and Rare variants.
- 19-21 base damage.
- Uses Light Ammo.
- 30 round capacity.
- Can be found in floor loot and chests.
Fortnite is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
