Fortnite Players Are Hiring Bodyguards And Coaching In-Game With Real Cash
Fortnite: Battle Royale has been out for some time now and there are players who are getting incredibly good at the game. It makes sense then that newer players and even those who just want to get better at the title might want to enlist the help of somebody more experienced to coach them. A new short feature from BBC shows that this idea is now a reality, where players can use real money to garner the help of their very own “Fortnite Buddies.”
According to the short feature, these “Buddies” are hired out to play alongside other players; showing them the ropes, teaching them tricks and more all the while attempting to keep them alive until they reach that coveted Victory Royale. It’s an interesting concept which differs greatly from many other paid gaming services that allow buyers to purchase players to grind out levels, gear, and rewards for them. Instead, the players are actively gaining their own experience and learning the game’s mechanics alongside somebody more experienced.
On the “Buddy” side of things, it would seem that this paid gaming service can be quite profitable, as some Fortnite Buddies are making up $25/ hr, which can add up to about $1000 a week. Would you like to become a Buddy? According to a post on Bidvine, it’s pretty easy to sign up:
To be eligible to work as a Fortnite Pro Buddy you must provide proof of your level and ability. This proof can be a selfie of your face with your Fortnite stats side by side. You will also need to provide a photo ID, have a working PlayStation 4 or Xbox 1, have at least 25 wins, and a strong wireless connection.”
While the Fortnite Buddy services were focused around European players within the BBC article, it’s possible to find Buddies all over the world. Forntite: Battle Royale is available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and iOS devices. Let us know your thoughts on these “Fortnite Buddies” and more in the comments section below.
