Fortnite Account Merging Feature Ending Tomorrow

Fortnite

It is safe to say that there is a plethora of people who play Fortnite. Many of these players might also dabble with the game across multiple platforms, which is why Epic Games has been offering the Account Merge feature, which allows fans to consolidate their accounts into one. However, for those looking to do such a thing, the deadline is upon us.

Epic Games recently took to Twitter to remind players that the time to get their Account Merge submissions in ends on Monday, May 6th. You will not be able to submit after that. Those already “in progress” at the deadline will be completed. You can begin the process right here, but here are some important pieces of information to know before doing so.

  • One account must have played on Xbox One or Switch and the other on PS4 before September 28th 2018 to be eligible.
  • Your account must not currently be banned or disabled.
  • In-game items and Vbucks will be held for two weeks before they’re merged to your primary account.
  • You’ll need access to all email addresses that are associated with accounts you wish to merge
  • If you have duplicate 3rd party login like Facebook on both your Primary and Secondary account, the Secondary login will be unlinked. You can unlink it prior to merging.
  • For Battle Royale ONLY your cosmetic items will transfer from your secondary account. For Save the World ONLY your Llamas, Defenders, Heroes, Schematics, Survivors, Schematic/Survivor/Hero XP, evolution and Perk materials will transfer from your secondary account. Other items that will transfer are V-bucks and banners. All other items related to your Secondary Account will be lost when you begin Merging.

Fortnite is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and mobile devices. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
