Ryan Reynolds Shares First Deadpool 2 Set Photo
Ever since the teaser trailer for Deadpool 2 played before the beginning of Logan, fans have been waiting for more information on the sequel featuring the red-clad ‘Merc with a mouth’, played by Ryan Reynolds. Thankfully our wishes have been granted, as Reynolds just shared with the world the very first Deadpool 2 set photo via his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The set photo shows Deadpool in his iconic red outfit, lying down with his legs crossed in front of the X-Men mansion. This confirms that at least part of the long-anticipated sequel takes place at Hatley Castle in British Columbia, Canada. His caption on his Twitter account reads “Dropped by the X-Mansion. Big F****ing surprise, no one’s home.” Sounds about right for Deadpool. He went a different direction with his Instagram, stating that he “looked closely for Beast’s lawn bombs before taking a well deserved nap.”
Despite it only being one Deadpool 2 set photo, the very fact that Reynolds was allowed to share it with the world suggests that more news and photos from the movie set will begin trickling in, especially considering Reynolds’ heavy social media presence. Most of the movie’s cast has been revealed within the past few months, with Josh Brolin taking up the mantle of time traveling mutant Cable, and Jack Kesy being cast as the sequel’s villain, though there is currently no confirmation as to who the villain is.
