Final Fantasy XV Fans Receive Touching Tribute From Square Enix (VIDEO)

Final Fantasy XV Fans

Final Fantasy XV was just what the decades-spanning series needed in order to stay afloat, something Square Enix knows is almost entirely due to its dedicated fan base. As such, the Japanese publisher has released a new video thanking Final Fantasy XV fans for their continued support, while also offering a behind the scenes look at the hilarious antics from the cast. Check out the video below, and be sure to have tissues at the ready:

First and foremost, yes, Ignis’ voice actor is 100% aware of all the ‘recipeh’ memes. While there were plenty of shout-outs to Final Fantasy XV fans, the cast behind some of the more popular voices in the game also expressed how impactful the latest numbered Final Fantasy title has been on their lives. One adorable tidbit from the video is the realization that Prompto voice actor Robbie Daymond ended up becoming best friends with Noctis’ voice actor, Ray Chase, and if that isn’t the most adorable thing ever then go back and play through FFXV again.

The video ends with a final shout-out to all the Final Fantasy XV fans that made the upcoming Royal Edition of the game possible, which arrives on March 6th, 2018. The title stands as a compilation title featuring all the DLC up to this point, as well as a few new features such as first person mode, a new dungeon, and new bosses. Here’s the breakdown for Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition:

Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition

  • An all-new dungeon – Insomnia City Ruins: Expanded Map
  • New features such as first person mode, new gear and new bosses.
  • Armiger Unleashed – after you collect all 13 royal arms, a more action-oriented mode of the Armiger is unlocked.
  • Royal Vessel – the boat from FFXVis now a controllable vehicle. The same body of water (between Cape Caem and Atlissia) can now be freely explored.
  • All season pass content – Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades, and Episode Ignis.
  • Over a dozen pieces of DLC, including weapons, Regalia car skins, and item sets.

Final Fantasy XV is now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Both Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition and Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition arrive on March 6th, 2018.
