Final Fantasy XIV PS5 Version Releasing Later This Month
Final Fantasy XIV has dominated the headlines these past few days thanks to the epic trailer for the game’s new Endwalker expansion. Released during the digital Fan Festival Event, the latest trailer also reveals that the expansion will be releasing on November 23rd of this year. Admittedly that’s still a ways off, though in the meantime fans can look forward to the official PS5 version of the game, which releases later this month.
During the digital Fan Festival Event, Square Enix announced that the PS5 version of Final Fantasy XIV will be releasing on May 25. Those playing on PS5 currently have a head start on the official version thanks to the ongoing Open Beta, which is set to conclude when the full release takes place on the 25th. The PS5 version of the popular MMO RPG features significantly improved sound and graphics, faster load times, DualSense haptic feedback support, and more.
The PS5 version of Final Fantasy XIV will be releasing alongside Patch 5.5, which brings with it the last major story update before the Endwalker expansion releases on November 23rd. Also included in the patch are the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse epilogue quests, updates to the Save the Queen quest line, and plenty more.
Final Fantasy XIV is slated to release for PS5 on May 25, 2021. The upcoming Endwalker expansion releases on November 23rd, 2021.
