Final Fantasy XIV Just Dropped A Gorgeous Anime Trailer (VIDEO)

Final Fantasy XIV has plenty of content for players of the long-running MMO to enjoy, and Square Enix seems poised to kick things up a few notches in the game’s upcoming Endwalker expansion. Players don’t always login to go crazy and run dungeons, though, as elegantly portrayed in the newly released anime trailer for the Korean version of the game. Check it out below:

Square Enix and Final Fantasy XIV’s Korean publisher Actoz Soft released a new trailer for the game that provides a glimpse into a day in the life of a Miqo’te adventurer. The animation for the trailer is absolutely beautiful, and the gorgeous anime imagining of Limsa Lominsa is spot on between the musicians, craftsmen, and folks spamming their non-targeted AOE spells.

The Miqo’te adventurer at the heart of the trailer is shown waking up, getting ready, and using the duty/party finder tool to work on leveling themselves up from lvl. 15 to lvl. 30. Afterwards he notices that everyone is having a grand old time simply lounging around and having fun in Limsa, and he chooses to follow suite by chucking his phone and doing what he wants to do rather than pushing himself to level up. It just goes to show that there’s no ‘right’ way to play Final Fantasy XIV (you don’t pay my sub etc etc), as evidenced by the trailer’s title, “It’s ok to take it easy.”

Final Fantasy XIV is now available for PC and PS4, and will be releasing for PS5 at some point likely this year. The game’s Endwalker expansion will be releasing in Fall 2021.
