This Final Fantasy VII Sephiroth Cosplay Will Have You Lining Up To Be Stabbed (VIDEO)

The folks over at DFTG are always on the lookout for impressive cosplayers, and we’ve been loving the Final Fantasy VII cosplays that have been cropping up over the past few months. Now, we’ve discovered an amazing cosplayer that has literally thrown himself into the fire for the perfect shot. Check out cosplayer Leon Chiro, whose staggeringly perfect Sephiroth cosplay will have you (literally) melt into a puddle.

Seen above, cosplayer Leon Chiro absolutely does the One-Winged Angel justice, from the tip of his massive sword all the way up to his handsome, broody expression. Sephiroth isn’t his only cosplay (more can be seen right here), though his impressive take on Sephiroth is the only one (that we know of) that he has put his life on the line for. Check out the short video clip below where Chiro is seen within a ring of fire, a scene reminiscent to that of the destruction of Nibelheim in Final Fantasy VII:

With Square Enix currently working on the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake, chances are we’ll see more cosplays of Cloud, Sephiroth, Aeris, and more crop over time. Here’s the description of Sephiroth, courtesy of the wiki:

“Sephiroth is revealed in Final Fantasy VII to be the result of an experiment by the megacorporation Shinra, in which they injected him with cells from the extraterrestrial lifeform Jenova when he was still a fetus. Upon discovering this, Sephiroth decides to follow what he believes to be his destiny and take control of the Planet, whilst Cloud and the game’s other protagonists attempt to stop him. Sephiroth’s role in the story, as well as his background, are expanded in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Additionally, he appears as a boss character in the Kingdom Hearts series, and other video games developed by Square. Sephiroth has been well-received within the video game community, and is highly ranked on many lists of the best video game villains and Final Fantasy characters.”
