Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade’s Yuffie Episode Length Revealed

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade's Yuffie Episode Length Revealed

Yuffie’s arrival in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is but the latest effort from Square Enix to flip the script and subvert player expectations. Yuffie is neither seen nor mentioned anywhere near Midgar at the start of the original game, though Square Enix remedies this by having her work parallel to Cloud and friends on a secret mission to, you guessed it, steal some materia. Now, thanks to some newly revealed information, the length of the Yuffie episode has been revealed.

Known gaming industry insider Nibel recently took to Twitter to release renders of both Yuffie and her comrade, Sonon. Following this, Nibel reveals that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade’s Yuffie episode will be comprised of two chapters, both of which put the player in the shoes of the light-footed Yuffie in her quest to infiltrate Midgar to steal the “ultimate Materia” from Shinra. What this Materia could be is unknown, though chances are it’ll be something from the original game that has yet to be mentioned in the remake.

Unfortunately, the exciting new Yuffie content will be exclusive to the ‘Intergrade’ PS5 version of the game, which means those that own the title for PS4 will need to purchase a PS5 and upgrade their game version for free, though they’ll still need to shell out some cash for the Yuffie DLC. The only potential saving grace for PS4 owners not looking to upgrade consoles just for some DLC is that the PlayStation exclusivity period for Final Fantasy VII Remake ends in a few months, so those looking to play it on PC potentially needn’t wait too much longer.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade releases for the PS5 on June 10th, 2021.
