Fans Hyped Over EA Battlefront 2 Confirmation
After playing the most recent Star Wars Battlefront with its stunning graphics, fans immediately began to wonder when a second coming would occur. Although 2015 Battlefront was met with mostly positive reception, many noticed that content was focused on the original trilogy.
The CFO of EA had previously said that they were bound to a multi-game agreement with Disney through a licensing deal, but no official release schedule had been stated. Finally, during a meeting, CFO Jorgensen came out and officially claimed intent of any annual release, starting with a sequel next fall. Further tantalizing players, it was noted that the new Battlefront would at least feature, if not focus on “the new movies“. Whether this simply means The Force Awakens, or other upcoming films is unclear.
Some felt like the first Battlefront didn’t have enough content, specifically citing the lack of a single-player mode. It was assumed that the first game excluded offline features because of the strict release schedule mandated by a copacetic release with the movies. It’s unknown whether the new Battlefront 2 will feature offline content, but many wait with their fingers crossed, since the pressure might be less intense with over a year of development time.
Are you guys ready to get pwned in a galaxy far, far away? Are you hoping to see more offline options? Let your opinion be heard in the comments!
