Fallout Cascadia Project Now Hiring
Fans (im)patiently waiting for the release of Fallout 76 later this year have had no shortage of mods to also occupy their fixations on the world beyond the vault. With Fallout 4, the teams behind big mod projects are doing everything from re-creating New Vegas in the updated engine, while others are using it to bring other famous American cities to the nuclear wasteland. One of the newest projects to hit the radar of fans has been Fallout Cascadia, which seeks to recreate Seattle, Washington in the post-apocalyptic universe. Now, the Cascadia mod team is seeking animators to assist in their ambitions.
The official Fallout Cascadia Facebook recently released a post, requesting assistance from its community of followers. As the post reads: “We are looking for anyone who can use and is efficient in Adobe Animator/Flash animation to animate and are capable of creating UI icons for traits, perks and whatnot. You need to be confident in being able to replicate and maintain the artstyle of the icons for perks/traits in previous Fallout games! Anyone who meets these guidelines that is interested in helping with the mod should email [email protected] to further inquire about the role with the project.”
This is certainly an incredible opportunity for those looking for experience in animation, especially animation related to the gaming industry. While the mod is obviously not an official Bethesda project, developers like them have been known to hire fans who have worked on significant mods such as this. Seattle has been seen in games like Infamous Second Son, but not in a post-nuclear style like this mod is aiming for. Hopefully whoever joins this team as an animator finds their career boom to new heights in a similar way.
