Fable 4 Studio Begins Hiring For "AAA Open World Action RPG"

In 2017, there were whispers of a potential future for the Fable series when both Xboss Phil Spencer and Xbox manager Shannon Loftis touched on the topic with fond regards. Prior to then, creator Peter Molyneux expressed the hopes and dreams he had for the next game in Fable 4, if it were to happen. Within the following year, rumors began circulating that the folks behind the Forza Horizon series were pinned as the head of the sequel and shortly thereafter, the studio began hiring for a “AAA open-world action RPG.” Now, new evidence suggests that an official announcement has potential to showcase at E3 2019.

Discovered by Reddit user snow9876, a quick search for “Fable IV” appears on Microsoft’s Mixer streaming service. Based on the fact that others have not spotted this particular phrase in their search bar before, it’s likely that the studios are preparing for its announcement in the near future. While this doesn’t necessarily mean Fable 4 will be announced during E3, the timing is certainly suspect. Check out the find below:

Conversations in the Reddit thread below OP’s post suggest this isn’t a hoax, and fellow hopefuls are sitting on the edge of their seats to find out more.  Nearly 10 years since the release of Fable 3, a sequel has been long overdue. The idea of an open-world action-RPG within this particular intellectual property is extraordinary news for those waiting for nearly a decade. Renown for its compelling narrative, power of choice, and the main character’s ability to age made it a unique RPG experience in 2010. Now, we all wait to witness the fate of Fable 4.
