Rumored Fable 4 Studio Begins Hiring For “AAA Open World Action RPG”

Fable 4 Studio Begins Hiring For "AAA Open World Action RPG"

For a while now, Forza Horizon 4 studio Playground Games has been in the midst of developing a yet-to-be-revealed “AAA open world action RPG,” with various rumors suggesting it to be a long-awaited new entry in the Fable series. While nothing has officially confirmed Fable 4 speculation, the project nonetheless continues to tease its scope, having recently announced job openings for a whopping 177 positions.

Notable offerings such as Concept Artist, Level Designer, and Creative Director were listed en mass over on LinkedIn, all in an effort to expand Playground for their next anticipated RPG. Many of these positions state as much, with the specific listing for a Principal Audio Designer detailing responsibilities for “shaping the soundscape” of the studio’s “entirely new AAA open world action / RPG project.”

These are only the latest positions being filled over at Playground, as a number of weeks ago brought in various former talent from BioWare and Guerrilla Games. Whatever ends up resulted from these hirings will definitely be something to watch, whether it be Fable 4 or something else entirely. With big events such as The Game Awards and the Microsoft-branded X0 expo coming down the pike, perhaps we’ll finally get those details we’ve been waiting for before the year is over.

What do you think? Is Playground Games totally making Fable 4, or will the project spawn something completely new? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to follow Don’t Feed the Gamers on Twitter and Facebook to be informed of the latest gaming and entertainment news 24 hours a day!
