Epic Games Store Begins Adding Achievements

Epic Games Store Adding Mods, Achievements, Cloud Saves, And More

The Epic Games Store has been chugging along since its inception, not only giving players free games every week, but also providing developers with a better service than they might receive from other digital stores. While Epic‘s platform doesn’t have all of the features fans have grown to love with the likes of Steam, that hasn’t stopped them from working to implement said features, the latest of which being achievements.

Epic recently took to Twitter (via Prima Games) to show off an early iteration of achievements on the Epic Games Store. They are sure to note that players might begin to see achievements pop up in some games as they unlock them, but they did not mention which games. In addition to this, they also clarify that this is an early version of the achievements feature and there are likely to be changes moving forward.

There’s no denying that the Epic Games Store falls short in a handful of categories. After all, they haven’t been around as long as other digital games stores, but some decide this is enough to justify casting Epic’s store aside. That said, Epic is improving their platform and continuing to follow along with their roadmap. Plus, we will soon have a whole new list of achievements to obtain, so let’s play some games.

It’s unknown at this time when achievements will be fully added to the Epic Games Store, but should be learning more soon. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
