EA Access Officially “Coming Soon” To Steam

EA Games Officially Returning To Steam, Including EA Access

It was just over six months ago when Electronic Arts first revealed its partnership with Steam, with EA planning to release a vast catalogue of titles on Valve’s popular storefront. This deal marked EA’s return to the platform after several years and even set the monsoon in motion with the Steam release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Despite the promise of more “major titles,” no other EA games have made their way to Steam, prompting the inevitable question of when (or if) additional titles will ever be added to the platform. However, it appears that EA’s promise will indeed be fulfilled as EA Access is now set to arrive on Steam sometime soon.

As reported by Prima Games, a banner image has stater to appear on the site foretelling the arrival of EA Access on Steam. Teasing sometime “soon,” the advertisement promises “trials, great games, and more” for members of the premiere subscription service. In a similar manner to PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold, EA Access provides a number of exclusive perks to members such as discounts, trials, early access, and a select number of the publisher’s games to play for free. EA had long kept such perks away from Steam due to the company’s own PC-focused Origin service, but it appears Valve will soon join a growing list of platforms adding Access to its libraries.

Speaking of library expansions, today’s unconventional confirmation also (finally) saw the debut of more EA games on Steam. As shown on the publisher’s profile, a total of thirteen new EA-published titles are now available on the storefront, with an additional one confirmed to be on the way tomorrow in the form of the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection. As a bonus, each of today’s new titles and respective DLC has received particularly huge discounts ranging between 50% to 75% off. A full list of games and sale prices can be viewed below.

It’s currently unknown exactly when EA Access is planned to go live on Steam, but it likely won’t be too long, especially with the company’s EA Play showcase scheduled next week on June 11th. This new influx of titles will surely serve a welcome appetizer until the official announcement is made, as it brings such beloved franchises as Dragon Age and Command & Conquer to many players’ preferred PC platform.
