Free Days Gone DLC Coming This Summer

Free Days Gone DLC Coming This Summer

With Days Gone just a single day away, fans are ready and waiting to sink their teeth into the other Zombie horde game that is primed to grace 2019. Though Bend Studio previously celebrated the title going gold, there’s still plenty of work to be done, as it has been revealed that free DLC is planned to release this summer.

The news comes by way of the PlayStation blog, which announced that a new ‘Survival’ difficulty mode will be getting added in to Days Gone in June. According to Sony, the new difficulty mode will pit players up against increased difficulty settings, no fast travel, the removal of Survival Vision, and a HUD with map and indicator elements removed. These changes are designed to “further immerse players” and increase the tension.

Days Gone players can also look forward to weekly Bike, Horde, or Combat challenges designed to test even veteran players. These challenges will twist “key gameplay features” in unique ways, and players will be able to earn additional items and rewards by completing them. To sweeten the pot, players will also be able to earn extra trophies and bike skins by completing bot the Survival difficulty mode and the upcoming weekly challenges.

Days Gone is now available exclusively for the PlayStation 4, with the free DLC arriving during the first week of June.
