Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT Open Beta Dates Revealed
Square Enix has announced the dates for its upcoming Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT open beta in North America and Europe. Fans looking to partake in the 3v3 action before the title’s late January arrival for the PlayStation 4 can do so beginning on January 12, and running through to January 21st. It is currently unknown what the open beta will entail. That said, it is likely that it will mirror the open beta in Japan, which began on December 24th. Japan’s open beta for the title is segmented into three different phases, each of which features a rotating selection of 15 characters.
The Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT open beta is the first time players will be able to test out the fighting game since the invite-only closed beta for the PS4 back in August. Easily the biggest complaint from those that took part in the closed beta was the rampant server issues, which caused disconnect issues within the game’s matchmaking. That said, that’s why these betas happen, so that the developers can ameliorate any uncovered issues in preparation for the full launch.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT arrives exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on January 30th, 2018. Featuring similar gameplay elements as the older Dissidia PSP games, the latest entry in the series features 3v3 battles that should make for some even more exciting gameplay compared to the 1v1 battles on the PSP. In addition to the expanded gameplay, Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT also marks the arrival of series newcomer Noctis from Final Fantasy XV and new deities Materia and Spiritus, though not all is as it seems.
