Devil May Cry 5 ESRB Rating Reveals Demon Tentacles And Exposed Buttocks

Devil May Cry 5

With only a couple months to go before Capcom’s next installment in the Devil May Cry series launches, fans are gearing up to enjoy the experience. Now that the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has officially rated Devil May Cry 5, we have a better understanding of what to expect when the title arrives.

As seen on the ESRB website, they have given Devil May Cry 5 a “M” for “Mature” rating. This is due to the blood, violence, strong language, and partial nudity. According to the ESRB’s rating summary, “This is an action game in which players follow the story of three heroes (Dante, Nero, V) in their quest to save the world from demons. From a third-person perspective, players use swords, guns, and special attacks (e.g., a prosthetic hand with electric bursts) to kill hordes of demons in frenetic combat.”

“Battles are highlighted by gunfire, screams of pain, and slow-motion finishing moves/highlights,” the summary continues. “One cutscene depicts civilians screaming in pain while being impaled by demon tentacles. Blood appears frequently during combat and stains several environments. Some female characters are depicted partially nude, with their breasts and buttocks minimally covered by blood, light, or clothing. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.”

Tentacles, and buttocks, and blood, oh my! Sounds like a Devil May Cry game alright. After all, who doesn’t want a little blood, profanity, and nudity while slaying demons in glorious fashion?

Devil May Cry 5 is set to launch on March 8th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
