Devil May Cry 5 Reveals New Dante Gameplay, Possible Demo Coming Soon (VIDEO)
Recently, the folks over at Capcom hosted a live broadcast featuring the dev team for Devil May Cry 5, wherein the team is seen eating and drinking to their heart’s content. In addition to their merry festivities, the team also shows off roughly 25 minutes of gameplay featuring series protagonist Dante.
Featured in the Dante showcase video, our stylish demon killing veteran is shown beating on various different baddies, while also slinging the occasional quips and taunts. The video can be seen in its entirety below:
While the video was in fact meant to be a Dante showcase, we also learned a bit more about producer Matt Walker as well, who spent the video conversing with community manager Matt Edwards and rubbing elbows with fellow developers. Matt discusses how he wound up working for Capcom and how he became a fan of the Devil May Cry series, while also discussing a few details behind the creation of one a character that is introduced in Devil May Cry 5, Nico.
Later on in the video, the topic of a possible public demo is brought up by Edwards, which Matt Walker deflects by relaying a response from producer Hideaki Itsuno, saying that there was nothing to announce at this time, but they are “always thinking about the fans.” While Walker is answering Edwards, Itsuno is seen in the background playfully shaking his head back and forth with a huge smirk on his face. So, we may be getting a Devil May Cry 5 public demo soon, they just aren’t quite ready to talk about it yet.
Devil May Cry 5 releases on March 8, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
