Bungie revealed that Destiny 2 will be fully reset, meaning that all gear and levels you have accumulated while playing the first game will be removed and everyone will start fresh. Even though some players will be disappointed to lose all of their accomplishments, this could mean that it will be easier to release it on PC. With Destiny’s full reset, now all players will be on an even playing field across all platforms.

Another possible reason for Destiny’s full reset is the transition to a new graphics engine or development platform, which could also point to giving a whole new platform a chance while they are already making changes. We’d like to think that they might want to expand their user base by bringing Destiny 2 to PC, but we just don’t know yet. The reset would help PC gamers get into the Bungie spirit and we think it would be amazing to give them a turn at this beautiful game. Destiny 2 is set for release in Fall of this year, so we’ll have to wait and see what the developers decide to do. Until then, let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed!
