Destiny 2 Crossplay, Transmog, And Much More Arriving Next Year

Destiny 2

Destiny 2 players recently got their hands on the latest expansion, Beyond Light, and while there is plenty to enjoy, there is much more to come. Thanks to a recent developer update, we know a bit of what is on the way for players to take in, including the fact that crossplay is officially coming to the popular title next year.

Assistant game director Joe Blackburn recently took to Bungie’s website to let fans know what’s going on behind the scenes and what to expect in Destiny 2 in the coming months. For starters, the Exotics were touched on in the post, with Blackburn noting that while there were quality additions to the game in Beyond Light, there weren’t enough. This is why they are adding more people to the Rewards Team to ensure there are more weapons in future releases.

The Destiny 2 assistant game director then goes on to discuss more of what’s to come next year. We’ll see DDOS protection, two strikes, new Exotics, and more coming in Season 13, while Season 14 will see the addition of Transmog, which can be seen below.

In addition to all of the above, it was also mentioned that crossplay will be coming to Destiny 2 in 2021, which will surely excite many players as it will allow them to play with friends on other platforms. Blackburn also noted that The Vault of Glass raid is returning, but no approximate release date was revealed for that. Needless to say, it’s looking like Destiny 2 is going to only continue to get better.

Destiny 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as well as new-gen systems. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
