Destiny 2 “Black Armory” DLC Arriving Soon

Destiny 2

Bungie and Activision are putting in some serious work to bring up the sales numbers of the Destiny 2: Forsaken expansion with new content, micro-transactions, and there’s even been some talk of one day bringing cross-play to the title. For now though, the company seems to be focusing on where to take players next with content such as the Black Armory, the next DLC on the list set to drop sometime soon.

There’s been no specific date mentioned for when the upcoming DLC will drop however with the current season ending on November 27th, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see the Black Armory launch that same day once the servers live again sometime around 9 AM PST. This would also signal the start of the next season as well, the Season of the Forge. If for some reason the start of the new season does not see the release of the Black Armory, the next best time would most likely be during the next server maintenance period on December 4th.

With the end of the current season approaching, now is the time for players to finish off their end of season to-do lists. As Bungie mentions in their latest blog post:

Crucible ranks will reset at the end of Season 4. Each quest contains a quest step to reach a rank milestone, and progress may be lost for these specific steps if you do not reach the requirements prior to the season ending. Progress for alternate quest steps will not be reset. If you’re in the middle of getting precision kills or completing Rumble matches, you will not lose any progress in those steps.

If you’re within arm’s reach of Fabled or Legend, this is your time to make the final push. If you do not reach the rank you’re aiming for by November 27, you will be reset to Guardian and have to climb the ladder once more. If you reach the rank and complete the associated quest step before season’s end, you’re all set.”

If you’d like to try out the game for yourself, players on the PC can now download Destiny 2 for free for a limited time. The title is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
