Deluxe Content Available for Star Wars Battlefront 2 Players Just By Playing the Game

Since the official announcement of the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2, including the newest trailer that focuses on the single-player narrative that fans all over the world have been asking for, news of DICE’s latest title has been aplenty. With E3 just around the corner, it is safe to assume that the hype train has just started its very long journey. With the standard and deluxe editions announced, and the statement about no seasons passes, potential Battlefront 2 players are left wondering about the specifics of what they have to look forward to.

Game designer Christian Johannesen recently took to Twitter to drop the news that even if players decide to scoop up the base version of the game instead of the deluxe, they will still have the opportunity to unlock all of the same content as deluxe owners. Standard edition owners simply have to play the game. This includes ship upgrades, weapons, modifications, abilities, and more. The only thing off the table for non-deluxe users would be the early access to the game, as well as immediate access to those heroes that will be featured in The Last Jedi. The original post reads:

Unless the early access and the immediate access of those specific heroes from the latest Star Wars film to drop this year is a deal-breaker, the standard edition is not a lacking option – just play the game, get the same content, more or less.

One vocal gripe that the community had about the previous re-vamp of the Battlefront series was that there was no storyline, simply a straight forward multiplayer experience, that many felt was a missed opportunity. Given the reveal trailer focusing on the new characters and returning faces, it appears that EA and DICE listened to that feedback with an open ear.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be releasing on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC come November 17th, 2017. Will you be scooping up the latest Star Wars title? Are you excited for the Last Jedi film and to see those characters in Battlefront 2?
