If there’s one thing Deadpool is known for aside from his razor sharp wit and complete lack of a filter, it’s the fact that he can regenerate literally any part of his body should that limb be separated. For fans of the Merc with a Mouth, seeing those regenerative properties on the big screen only further cemented that reality, especially when remembering the scene where Wade Wilson grew his hand back after cutting it off to escape the clutches of Colossus (with a very witty tie-in to the 2010 film, 127 Hours). However, realizing that this regenerative superpower can literally regrow any severed limb leads fans to wonder one incredibly important question: would Deadpool be able to grow back his penis after being castrated? Luckily for fans, co-creator Rob Liefeld willingly answered that question without hesitation. His answer: a resounding “yes”.

Now that every man out there can comfortably uncross their legs now, let’s look a little deeper into this answer. According to an interview with Inverse, Rob Liefeld spoke up directly about the question, reassuring fans that the magical healing powers aren’t just limited to seemingly useless body parts, such as an arm, a leg or oh say, a head. It’s important to remember that penis regeneration must be part of that equation, as Liefeld stated with utter conviction, “We would never, ever live in a world where Deadpool can’t regenerate his own cock and balls.” That being said, he also went on to state “He would generate a new head, and I’m telling you, he would generate a new head.”

So there you have it. In the case of dear Wade Wilson, should he find himself bodily dismembered at some point, which he has on countless occasions, his head (both upstairs and downstairs) would definitely be making a comeback… though it may take a little time, and some very embarrassing conversations with whomever he decided to take to bed that night (remember the baby hand scene?)
