Dead By Daylight Announces Ash vs. Evil Dead DLC (VIDEO)

Asymmetrical survival game Dead By Daylight has featured all sorts of interesting icons of horror in the past, with the likes of Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, and Jigsaw notably featuring as the game’s big bad Killers. However, it looks like the side of the Survivors is now receiving a new ally in Ash J. Williams, the protagonist of the Evil Dead series.

Announced in a new video, Ash was confirmed to be on his way to Dead By Daylight; the groovy man himself Bruce Campbell revealing the news in typically hilarious fashion. In addition, the footage provides a first look at Ash gameplay, the character seen sporting his robotic hand, boomstick holster, and signature blue attire from TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead. Check out the video below.

As Campbell previously revealed his official retirement from the role of Ash, his in-game return is undoubtedly a welcome surprise. However, it appears that his appearance as Dead By Daylight DLC won’t be his final go as the character, as an unannounced Evil Dead video game has been teased over the last few months, one seemingly touting a substantial development according to Campbell himself.

Dead By Daylight is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and hits Nintendo Switch later this year. The Ash Williams Evil Dead DLC goes live on April 2nd.

What do you think? Are you glad to see Ash Williams make his way to Dead By Daylight, or is it bittersweet because the show officially came to an end?
