Days Gone Release Date Announced In Brand New Trailer, Reveals New Enemy Threats (VIDEO)
Days Gone may have faced a delay, but it will be well-worth it in the end. Despite the plethora of open-world zombie titles out there, developer SIE Bend Studio has high hopes that their project will stand out from the rest. For those anticipating its arrival, creative director John Garvin finally announces the release date for this action-adventure survival game in a brand new trailer. There are even new enemies to fear:
Days Gone introduces a few new animal threats – mountain lions, cougars, and infected ravens called Criers (oh my). It seems the world really is against you. There’s also an enemy faction called Rest In Piece (R.I.P.), a cult that calls its followers Rippers worship Freakers are an important part of Days Gone’s ecology. In fact, these folks refuse to kill these once-human creatures so taking a horde of them to a camp may prove favorable.
The trailer also introduces three characters. As seen in previous trailers, William “Boozer” Gray former members of the Mongrels MC and the main character’s brother in arms and in blood. Alkai Turner is an arms dealer at the Hotsprings survivor’s camp, and Ada Tucker is an ex-prison matron and runs the encampment. As E3 2018 approaches this weekend, the studio will be bringing the gameplay to the players to check out for themselves!
Days Gone is scheduled for release on February 22nd, 2019, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. What are your thoughts on the arrival of another zombie game?
