Darksiders 3 Publisher Skippping Out On E3 For Beer And The World Cup

Darksiders 3 Publisher

E3 is a monster of an event where many of the gaming industries major players show off some of the biggest upcoming projects that they’re working on. That being said, not everybody will be there. In the case of Darksiders 3 publisher THQ Nordic, the company has announced that they’ll be skipping out one major event for a slightly “chiller” time.

The team at THQ Nordic recently took to their website to apologise for their lack of presence during E3 and let fans know that they’ll be taking that time to drink a nice frothy beer while watching soccer instead:

It is with great regret that we at THQ Nordic must report that we will be unable to miss a single moment of this great sporting event. Therefore, we will be forced to stay in our lovely Viennese beer gardens, blowing the froth off a couple, watching football and one or two cool press conferences on Twitch (looking at you, Devolver) instead of rocking it ourselves.

We have to admit, we are going to miss our 9 AM pint of beer in the “Ye Olde King’s Head”-Pub in Santa Monica, where they show all matches live, but with the World Cup being held in Russia, it would mean a 7 AM beer – that’s too early, even for Austrians, let alone the Swedes.”

It’s a little disappointing that there won’t be any Darksiders 3 or Biomutant details seen at E3 however THQ Nordic did mention that they’ll be attending Gamescom in Cologne, Germany shortly after PAX West showing off these titles. They also teased a few other details including some unannounced projects which are in the works.
