Darksiders 3 Intro Revealed By THQ Nordic (VIDEO)

Darksiders 3 Intro

With Darksiders 3 launching next week, THQ Nordic has released the game’s cinematic introduction. The three minute video shows off our amazing protagonist, Fury, and just how, um, furious she can be.

In the video, we receive some backstory on Fury and the other Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (War, Death, and Strife). The Charred Council granted the quartet incredible powers “to maintain symmetry twixt order and chaos.” Now they await orders on their undertaking to bring about the Apocalypse.

This perfectly echoes the first two Darksiders games. The story takes a backseat to the gameplay, and the dialogue is rather laughable. The third installment will rise or fall based on how the game handles, not the absurdity of giant talking rocks.

As for the hero, Fury is angry from the word go. She is snarky and fiery and ready to get into the action without any more talking. No need for explanations from the Charred Council when there’s blood to be shed! In truth, she fits into the franchise beautifully and should quickly become a fan favorite.

THQ Nordic has embarked on a spending spree in recent days. The company has acquired numerous studios and currently has 55 games in development at the moment. However, Darksiders 3 may be the most important of their titles. Fans have anxiously waited for this installment for years. It also marks a sort of rebirth for the company that once filed for bankruptcy. If this introduction is anything to go by, THQ Nordic should flourish for the foreseeable future.

Darksiders 3 launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 27.
