Latest The Dark Tower International Trailer Lets Bullets Fly (VIDEO)
A new The Dark Tower international trailer has arrived showcasing the Gunslinger played by Idris Elba, his weapons, and a lot of bullets. The long awaited adaption of this dark fantasy western features plenty of action, but also gives a little insight into the fight between the hero and the main antagonist for the series and film, the Man in Black played by Matthew McConaughey.
Impressive shooting aside, the trailer shows off a few of the otherworldly features fans will be seeing in the film such as portals, monsters, and massive beams of lights. It indicates that the fight will not be an easy one for the Gunslinger as the Man in Black is capable of catching bullets, not just the ones he can see with his eyes, but the behind him as well. With an equally matched villain for the hero, fans can expect a challenging fight throughout the film.
The details of the story have yet to be truly seen. It is known that the film will be adapted based off of The Dark Tower with some parts of the Gunslinger, however it may not be entirely faithful to the source material. It seems that this does not bother Stephen King, but rather he encourages it. In a recent interview he mentions:
What I’ve always enjoyed is seeing my stories serving as a launching pad of some new or adapted vision. The people involved in the movie all had the latitude, which I was happy to give them, to reinvent it.”
