Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Brings Back Dropped Wall-Running Feature (VIDEO)
Cyberpunk 2077 gives players a lot of freedom when it comes to moving about the game world, with features such as double jumping allowing them to traverse a lot of terrain quickly, allowing them to gain new vantage points or explore hidden or hard to reach areas. Still, there could be more traversal options available such as one cut feature, wall-running. Now, thanks to a new mod, players can regain access to the feature that was previously dropped from the game.
The finished product may slightly resemble the gameplay reveal trailer from back in 2018, but while Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way in some regards, it seemed to regress a bit in others. The cut ability to wall-run is one such thing that could have been a blast to utilize as V works their way through Night City. The new wall-running mod doesn’t do anything too special, though it does provide players with a glimpse of what could have been had the feature not been cut from the final game. Modder skye0 explains in the mod’s description that the idea was more or less a proof of concept, and as such is currently still a work in progress. As such, players using the mod will only be able to use the feature to run along walls in a rather ‘janky’ manner, though it’s still pretty cool to utilize. Check it out below:
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Google Stadia, though the PlayStation Store has yet to make the title available for purchase again after taking it off the marketplace earlier this year.
