Columbia Sportswear Releases New Star Wars: Rogue One Jackets

Star Wars: Rogue One Jackets

We are just a few days away from the release of the first Star Wars stand-alone anthology film, but we have seen the merchandising parade for Rogue One for the past few months now. From the new Battlefront Rogue One DLC, to the constant television promos, it’s hard to go anywhere right now in civilized society and not know about the upcoming film. Just last Friday, a new addition came to the commercialized madness as Columbia Sportswear launched a new line of Star Wars: Rogue One jackets.

The three jackets are modeled after the outfits worn by three characters from the movie: Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor and the Death Trooper. The Jyn Erso outfit consists of the jacket and vest (which is able to be worn separately) she is seen wearing in the trailers for the film. The Cassian Andor parka also looks like the one he wears in the trailers, with an added Rebel logo patch, as well as a removable fur lining in the hood. While the Imperial Death trooper-inspired jacket took some creative liberties to fit the style of a standard Columbia rainwear jacket, it does feature the classic Imperial insignia on each shoulder.

If you are interested in purchasing one of these jackets, you will have to dig deep in your Republic credits account. The Jyn Erso jacket retails for $400, the Death Trooper jacket retails for $450 and the Cassian Andor parka retails for $500. Currently you can buy the Death Trooper jacket on the Columbia Sportswear website, but the Cassian Andor and Jyn Erso outfits are sold out online. However, there are several Columbia retail outlet stores throughout the U.S. that you might still be able to find the jackets at. These are somewhat pricey, but if you’re looking for a premium Columbia jacket that is built for handling harsh weather that can also double as a cosplay, you can’t go wrong here. What do you guys think? Are you going to try to pick up one of these Star Wars: Rogue One jackets? What Star Wars character would you like to see have a Columbia jacket inspired after them?
