Car VS. IRL Rocket Hammer from Overwatch – HAMMER DOWN! (VIDEO)
Fans of Overwatch, come one, come all! If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to see these larger than life weapons in action, now’s your chance! Reinhardt’s Rocket Hammer has been officially brought to life, all thanks to The Hacksmith, and this thing can really pack a wallop!
If anyone has had a chance to try out the different characters in Overwatch, many might find that the total destruction Reinhardt’s hammer can bring upon the competition is totally satisfying to experience. But like anyone out there, some might wonder exactly how cool it might be if one wielded the awesome power of such an epic weapon in their own hands. Thanks to the Hacksmith, now you can see for yourself just how destructive a hammer affixed with rockets really can be. Check out the video below to see the earth-shattering carnage this engineer has managed to wield upon a poor Pontiac Sunfire, if you dare!
The video is 7 minutes of pure, unadulterated annihilation, and it is the most satisfying thing we have ever seen. The hammer, according to its creator, racks in around 60 pounds of brute force, with a G-class model rocket to give it that extra “oomph!” needed to reduce the car to a crumpled heap of metal. If you’re interested in seeing how the Rocket Hammer is made, check out the video below to see exactly what went into creating this monstrosity (though we, at DFTG, highly recommend keeping your destruction to a secluded area, as this could really cause bodily harm. Stay safe out there, amateur engineers!)
It isn’t hard for Overwatch fans to find the humor in their beloved title. It takes a certain-type of fan to be able to discover an impromptu Skydiving session for Sombra, the game’s newest team member, so it’s no surprise that someone actually found a way to recreate this glorious weapon for themselves. What do you guys think? Have any of you intrepid gamers discovered ways to bring your own favorite titles to life? Give us a shout out in the comments below, and game on!
