Proceed to the LZ, folks, the coming of a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game is just around the corner. Arriving October, Activision and company are prepared to bring another first-person shooter experience to all major platforms. In addition to its campaign and cooperative mode, the developers are prepared to show off what they’ve got so far for multiplayer. Proceed to the LZ:

Set aside time for yourself on August 1st as Activision and Infinity Ward go live on their official Twitch channel to premiere the “ultimate multiplayer playground” for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans around the world. In terms of pre-livestream details? There’s not much to go on aside from the teaser above. Well, aside from this:

Tactical Infil: A Descent into Multiplayer. It is Day 215. ‘Operation Gun Runner’ is in full swing, as you descend and disembark from a deployment helicopter.

Perched on the side of the chopper, you’re listening to radio chatter, sitting next to Operator ‘D-Day’, who’s holding an assault rifle (with a short stock). It looks like you’ve chosen an assault rifle with Long Barrel and Hybrid Scope. As you drop onto the cracked concrete loading dock near this train yard, you fan out; ready to engage Allegiance forces.”

According to Activision, the video reveals “tactical infils” (AKA Tactical Infiltrations), where players disembark a helicopter onto a map before the the bloodshed begins. “What you’ve seen is one of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare tactical infils (or ‘infiltrations’),” reads the Activision blog. “This one shows a disembarking into the Multiplayer map currently named ‘Gun Runner’. These infils usually occur between the time you’ve chosen your Multiplayer Loadout and the start of the MP match.”
