Blizzard Now Hiring For Warcraft III And Other “Classic Games”

Blizzard has particularly bloomed in recent years, which comes at no surprise given their spectacular original franchises like World of Warcraft, Diablo, and the more recent Overwatch. Their continued growth in the gaming industry speaks volumes to their ever-growing fanbase and that means they’re on the look out for more personnel to fill in the gaps.

Warcraft III is currently in development alongside other “classic games,” according to several new job listings. In search for a “Senior Software Engineer, Gameplay,” the Irvine, California location seeks an individual with experience in design, implementation and maintenance of gameplay systems. Though Warcraft III is a given, it’s exciting to imagine what else they have in store. Perhaps “classic games” refers to the revival of a old, but not long forgotten IP of Blizzard’s early days?

Hell, they may be entertaining the idea of a Diablo remaster or the next entry in the franchise? You never know! After all, earlier this Summer confirmed the appearance of a new and “unannounced” Diablo project in the works. They’re still in search for a several artist positions primarily focused on environment, dungeons, and technical work in addition to software engineer positions.

Blizzard is always on the look-out and it seems they’ve got other mysterious projects on their plate, but they have yet to reveal exactly what they have in the cards. What do you think these other unannounced projects could be? Will Diablo be another sequel or a remaster? Let us know what you think in the comments section below or start a conversation on DFTG Facebook page.
