Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Narrator Has Some Hilarious One-Liners (VIDEO)

The Call of Duty series is one that inspires skill and clever resourcefulness in order to get the coveted win, whether it be by careful practice or (ahem) encouragement by other online users. Black Ops 4 ramps up that competitive spirit with its emerging Zombies and Blackout modes, likely making for a tougher experience in the mission to “git gud.”

Luckily there’s a tutorial to guide players along the new features in Black Ops 4, but this is no cookie-cutter learning experience. The various bouts of shooting-based gameplay are narrated by one Sgt. Frank Woods, the wise-cracking soldier giving hilarious insight to the proceedings with various side-splitting jokes and observations. Kotaku has assembled some of the best ones in the video below.

The above showcase fires off numerous irreverent references to farts, Donald Trump, and Shakespearean masterpieces such as, “What light through yonder window breaks? It’s your f**kin’ grenade, that’s what it is!” The amount of over-the-top absurdity is enough to force even the most hardened players to let out a little chuckle, or at least add a twist of fun to a usually-arduous tutorial process.

Outside all this higher education, Call of Duty’s latest Black Ops fourquel has had a number of features highlighted since its eventful launch. Zombies was given a “Classified” showcase, a split-screen mode was inexplicably discovered, and new Halloween items were laid out before October’s spooky proceedings. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
