Bayonetta Crossover Teased For Mortal Kombat 11
There’s a growing bevy of characters joining the titular tournament in Mortal Kombat 11, assembling the greatest fighters from all the realms to engage in spectacularly violent battle. Though there’s a few characters that have been decidedly “dekonfirmed,” the promise of a big surprise reveal has kept fans hope alive for any number of potential crossovers, which may now include a spell with PlatnumGame’s Bayonetta.
Series creator Hideki Kamiya started the speculation over on Twitter, where he posed the idea of a potential Mortal Kombat x Bayonetta crossover. Kamiya went as far as to ponder how she’d interact with NetherRealm’s legendary characters, specifically how a Fatality would faze Bayonetta herself.

Don’t want to see Bayo fatality’d? That’s what I want to see. I believe she’ll enjoy it, too.

The magical Umbran Witch is no stranger to the concept of crossovers, having been a notable addition to Super Smash Bros. series including its most recent Ultimate incarnation. While the character has been mostly relegated to the Nintendo Switch in recent years, a collaboration with Mortal Kombat 11 could at the very least be possible, especially as NetherRealm’s fighting title is also slated to arrive on the Switch at launch.
Mortal Kombat 11 hits Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 23rd. A beta session is set to drop sometime in March.
